Attention:   All Novice MD Players - Waterloo Residents Only

For the 2010-2011 season, there will be a first tier of two (2) Novice MD teams comprised of ONLY 8 year old players, and a second tier of two (2) Novice MD teams comprised of 7 and 8 year old players.  No player movement will be allowed; no 6 year old players will be allowed to play Novice MD, and no 7 year old players will be allowed to play on the 8 year old MD teams.

Attention:   All Zone Players from Woolwich, Fergus and Elora

As the message below from the Ontario Hockey Federation states, players in Woolwich, Fergus and Elora continue to have the right to choose which AAA zone they will play in, either Guelph or Waterloo.  Essentially, this returns the status of the three centres to that which has existed since 1994.

"Therefore the OHF Board of Directors has ratified the creation of the Guelph AAA Zone and the modification of the Waterloo AAA Zone to include Fergus, Elora and Woolwich.  This results in the players from Fergus, Elora and Woolwich having the opportunity to choose the Waterloo AAA Zone or the Guelph AAA Zone to tryout for.  The minor hockey bodies in Fergus, Elora and Woolwich shall provide a permission to skate to either Waterloo AAA Zone or Guelph AAA Zone for players from their centre absent any requirements provided for in OHF Regulation E58."

Attention:   All Zone Players including residents of Waterloo

AAA Waivers will not be provided to any player unless he or she attends Waterloo Zone AAA tryouts and is released.  As required by OHF Regulations, unless a roster position is offered, a Waiver will be provided to released players by September 15th.  This is consistent with the Waterloo zone policy that states:
